MLD is a two step process, Clearing and Reabsorption, which are both done by using gentle repetitive skin stretching techniques along with breathing techniques with the intention of clearing excess water retention from the area of interest.
During a session, the client is fully clothed and the there apist's hands are gently placed on different parts of the body or just above.
The therapist, with intention, then acts as a conduit between the client and the so called, energy life force. This helps guide this energy in a way that creates a sense of peace, relaxation, security and balance.
